Mentors and how they have assisted you in your career:
Early in my career, I was fortunate enough to be mentored by two food industry executives that convinced me that if I believed in myself and my abilities, I could succeed in this industry.  They taught me I could be a lot more of who I already was and that a person can only truly perform from strength.

What are you most proud of in your career achievements?  Do you have a defining moment of your career to date?
My ability to move effectively in the different sectors of the food industry; retail, distribution, manufacturing  and the broker community, adapting to the culture differences of each sector in the ever-changing food business.

Most challenging part of your job:
Maintaining a successful balance with clients and customers as well as co-workers.  Since issues are a great part of my job, it is important that I always have a contingency plan in place as a solution for every situation.

Advice for  upcoming young executives:
Be creative and take risks and above all be a good listener.  There is no substitution for integrity, hard work, and a passion for what you do.

Hobbies:
Golf, cooking,  and traveling.
