Mentors and how have they assisted you in your career:
There have been numerous individuals throughout my schooling, career and personal life that have provided me with insight, guidance and motivation, which have undoubtedly contributed to my success. However, my biggest support group has been my family. From a young age we were taught that determination, integrity and a strong work ethic are the keys to success. We were encouraged to always be our best. These values that were instilled in me have been instrumental in my career.

What are you most proud of in your career achievements?  Do you have a defining moment of your career to date?
I am proud to work for a company that represents such a wide scope of CPG clients (more than 60 percent of the number one  and two brands in most grocery stores). I have had the opportunity to work in various roles and departments throughout my career thus far. I am proud of the relationships I have built with clients, customers and co-workers and the successes I have had on the specific businesses I have managed.

Most challenging part of your job:
The most challenging part of the job is that there are never enough hours in the day to accomplish everything, which can be difficult. On the flip side, however, knowing that so many opportunities exist to grow and personally impact the business is what keeps me challenged and makes each day interesting.

Advice for upcoming younger executives:
My involvement in Acosta’s Leadership Development Program has allowed me to oversee the recruiting, hiring and mentoring of new, young talent. My advice for upcoming executives is:

Be proactive and show initiative. Never stop learning.

Seek a mentor that will help lead you along in the organization, however don’t limit yourself to just one mentor. There are numerous individuals in the company/industry with diverse backgrounds that can aid in your career.

Enjoy the journey! Work hard while maintaining a good work/life balance.

Recently married, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and friends. I also love to travel and am an avid Boston sports fan.
