Mentors and how have they assisted you in your career:
I maintain a mentoring relationship with the CMO from my one of my early CPG marketing roles. I worked with this female executive for nine years, and she inspired me in her daily actions, leadership style, professionalism, strength and risk-taking in an industry dominated by men, and her grounded, personal approach. A second and powerful mentor for me was my father. He was an entrepreneur, a successful business man and a wonderful person. He taught me that your word and your values endure all, to treat people as you wish to be treated, and that while success in business is excellent, success in life is greater.

What are you most proud if in your career achievements?
I have developed multiple brands from concept to commercialization – as a marketer it is wonderful to see your efforts on the shelf and succeeding in the competitive marketplace.

Do you have a defining moment of your career to date?
Being a part of Daymon Worldwide’s transformation as a company, including our global marketing group growth from five people to a cross-functional team of over 85.

Most challenging part of your  job:
Our industry is unique. Helping retailers truly differentiate in their marketplace against key competitors and define a “white space” USP is a huge challenge – but one I love to take on!

Advice for upcoming younger executives:
Be a sponge. Absorb and learn something every day. Listen more than talk. Enthusiasm is contagious. Over-prepare then go with the flow. Work hard, have fun, no drama.
