Mentors and how have they assisted you in your career:
My father was an amazing mentor to me.  When I was growing up, he would spend time speaking with me about whether or not I was proud of the decisions I was making in my life.  He would equate it to the “life mirror.”  He told me that the only person looking back at me at the end of my journey would be me.  And then he challenged me to be proud every day of my life of that reflection.  This helped me understand how to focus on achieving results through and with people, treating others with respect, and challenging myself to be the best I can be.

What are you most proud of in your career achievements? Do you have a defining moment of your career to date?
I was honored to receive the Women’s Foodservice Forum Leadership Award in 2007.

Most challenging part of your job:
Delivering the best possible solutions to the organization that aligns with achieving great results and operating outstanding restaurants.

Advice for upcoming younger executives:
Let your voice be heard!  Ask for challenging assignments, ask for opportunity, and express your career goals to your boss and those around you!  Be comfortable being uncomfortable because that is when you are truly growing.

I enjoy spending time with family, including my twin black Labrador retrievers, as well as running, yoga, hiking, reading, and traveling.  I’m most proud of my dedication to my family and friends.
