What are you most proud of in your career achievements? Do you have a defining moment of your career to date?
In my tenure with Ahold, I think that having had the ability to be versatile has enabled me to be successful.  I have been able to experience so many different areas of our business that it makes me feel as if each step taken has enabled me to progress and be a detrimental part of our organization.

Most challenging part of your job:
Thriving on managing four divisions with over 750 stores is rewarding…challenge is how to keep all four current to trends quickly…often would like to operate by the speed of light to capture all of the changes the industry presents in this category.

Advice for upcoming younger executives:
Young executives should take a strong hold of their surroundings quickly and gain the trust of their peers and supervisors.  Good ideas and strong work ethic is key to build a successful relationship with your supervisor.  Being positive and proactive sets the tone but do not assume you know all that is necessary to be successful…humility is so very important.

Hobbies:
Reading, spending quality time with family, entertaining, cooking, party planning, martial arts.
