Mentors and how have they assisted you in your career?
I have had several mentors in my career all who taught me valuable traits that I carry with me today.  At each stage in my career there was always great support given to me by my managers and co-workers.

In addition, my parents always gave me terrific advice and instilled strong work ethics as we owned our own business, which was an incredible experience that I was able to learn from.

What are you most proud of in your career achievements? Do you have a defining moment of your career to date?
I am most proud of the client and customer relationships I have built over my career; this is actually my 25th year in the food industry.  As an account manager I have had the privilege of working with many buyers here in the East that gave me the ability to expand my network as a sales person.  As a client manager I have represented several manufacturers across many departments, which helped me build the portfolio we have today.  All of this could not have been achieved without the support of my company who gave me the opportunity to pursue my vision for seafood and produce.

Most challenging part of your job:
Bringing together client and retailer goals to create an outcome that is mutually beneficial.  Often the end goals are agreed upon; how they are arrived at is the challenge. And of course balance is always something that I am striving for between my professional and family life; there are never enough hours in the day.

Advice for younger executives:
Have confidence in yourself, have defined goals and make sure you communicate those goals.  When mentoring younger employees I often found that they had a career path in mind but were not confident enough to share them with their supervisor.

Hobbies:
Spending time with my family and cooking.
