Mentors and how have they assisted you in your career:
My father and founder of Dietz & Watson, Gottlieb Dietz.

What are you most proud of in your career achievements? Do you have a defining moment of your career to date?  Within the past few years I became the face of a new advertising campaign in Philadelphia and other markets around the country. This campaign, called Momma Dietz, has been a huge success since its inception. My image on the company literature and billboards, as well as my voice on company radio spots, has created a real buzz in our top markets. The thing is, I am a real mother, that’s why they call me “Momma.” I juggled a career at the helm of a large family business along with being a real Mom and Grandmom. I am very proud of that.

Most challenging part of your job:
Dietz & Watson is still a private, family-owned company with me serving as chairman of the company. My children, grandchildren and I run the business day-to-day, and include my children Louis Eni, president and chief executive officer, Cindy Eni Yingling, chief financial officer, and Chris Eni, chief operating officer. Two grandchildren are with the company now as well. Throughout the past few decades, our perseverance to continue the quality standards of my father never strayed. With the changes seen in this country over the last generation in areas like economy, deli category, consumer behavior and general business challenges, we as a family have had the determination to not let Dietz & Watson change its quality ever.

Advice for upcoming younger executives:
Work hard and never sacrifice quality in whatever you do.
