Mentors and how have they assisted you in your career:
There have been numerous individuals throughout my career and personal life that have given me guidance which I believe have contributed to my success.

John Hamm has been instrumental in guiding my career at Acosta. He was the one who suggested that I move into sales from my previous role as a Planogram Analyst.  He saw the potential in me that I may not have seen myself.  I was very nervous when he first suggested that I try sales, not very sure of my capabilities. After six years, I can honestly say it was the best career move that I made.  I am proud of the relationships that I have built with my Customer, Our Clients and fellow co-workers.

In addition, my biggest supporter at home is Shawn Stabley. During our 17 years together, he has helped me find the right balance between career and family. Which I believe is essential in order to have a well-balanced life!

What are you most proud of in your career achievements? Do you have a defining moment of your career to date?
I am proud and humble to have received numerous awards from our Clients and Acosta in recognition of my dedication to achieving our mutual goals.  Furthermore, I am extremely honored that I have been selected as one of the “Women of Influence in the Food Industry for 2013.”

Advice for upcoming younger executives:
My advice to upcoming younger executives is be flexible and don’t put off something that can be done today.  Good time management skills are needed in our industry; there are many different challenges that come up during the course of the day that we need to learn to prioritize. As time goes by and each different challenge comes up, you realize this more and more.
